The invisible grill price in Bangalore is quoted per square foot, but two quotes with the same rate can be for very different products. Here is what actually decides the cost — and what to check before you choose.
How invisible grills are priced
Installers in Bangalore price invisible grills by the square foot of the opening — width multiplied by height for every balcony or window. A typical apartment balcony is somewhere between 40 and 100 sq ft, so the total depends far more on your openings than on the rate alone.

The five things that change the price
- Cable grade. SS316 marine-grade stainless steel costs more than SS304 or unbranded wire — and is the grade that will not stain in the monsoon.
- Cable thickness. 2 mm, 2.5 mm and 3 mm cables differ in cost and in how they look; thicker is stronger and slightly more visible.
- Spacing. A 2-inch gap is the child-safe standard. Tighter spacing uses more cable per square foot.
- Channels and fittings. Powder-coated aluminium channels and stainless locks cost more than bare or plated parts, and last much longer.
- Height and access. High floors and awkward openings take longer and may need extra safety rigging.
Why the cheapest quote is often the most expensive
Low quotes usually save money in places you cannot see on day one: a lower grade of steel that tea-stains near a lake, plated fittings that rust, anchors drilled into plaster instead of concrete, or cables that are never individually tensioned. Each of those turns into a repair, or a replacement, within a few years.
When you compare quotes, ask each installer to write down the cable grade and thickness, the spacing, the channel material and how the channels are anchored. If a quote will not say, that tells you something.
Invisible grills vs MS grills on cost
A welded MS grill can look cheaper at first, but it needs painting every few years, rusts at the joints, blocks the view and is often not permitted by apartment associations. Over the life of the flat, a well-fitted invisible grill usually works out comparable or better — and you keep the view.
